Boston, MA -November 23rd, 1998 - Worlds Inc. (OTC: "WDDD"), a pioneer in the development of 3D Internet technology and content, today announced the introduction of the next generation Internet experience, 'Worlds Ultimate 3D Chat Plus…™'. According to Thom Kidrin, President and CEO of Worlds, " 'Worlds Ultimate 3D Chat Plus…™' is truly the next generation 3D Internet experience, taking traditional Internet chat to an entirely new level, one never before experienced on the Internet." According to Mr. Kidrin, "this entirely new Worlds product combines traditional 2D ("HTML") Internet chat with the added dimension of real-time 3D animation and motion over the Internet using Worlds proprietary 3D Internet browser."
The user of 'Worlds Ultimate 3D Chat Plus…™' has the ability to select an avatar (one's alter ego character) for self-representation on the Internet. Once selected, through his or her avatar, the user can then move into and out of different environments from a meteor in outer space to a space station and into and out of other more conventional virtual worlds, including dance clubs, beautiful virtual gardens, and the very first, truly dedicated, special 3D Internet chat rooms with categories ranging from social relationships to teens to 'Let's Talk about…' music rooms to Wall Street. Through the use of his or her personal avatar, users will be able to meet thousands of other people (via their avatars) from around the world.
Mr. Kidrin went on to note that "while Worlds 3D Internet browser is proprietary and permits relatively fast avatar movement over the Internet, one of the more remarkable features is Worlds Avatar Gallery and Worlds Gallery of Metamorphics. The Avatar Gallery contains over 100 different avatars, including more than 70 that are polygonal and are user controlled for performing more than 17 different actions and behaviors, including walking, waving, nodding yes and no, flipping, twirling, expressing happiness and anger, doing funky and rockin' roll dances and even flying in cyberspace, among other gestures.
