ROAD RUNNER EXTENDS CO-BRANDED WEB SITE AGREEMENT WITH WORLDS.COM
Worlds.com continues as 3D content provider
for Road Runner's Hang Channel
New York, NY, March 27, 2000 - Worlds.com (OTC/BB: WDDD), the leading three-dimensional (3D) entertainment portal, today announced that Road Runner (www.rr.com), a high-speed online service delivered to the PC over cable television infrastructure, has extended its agreement to have Worlds.com be a 3D interactive content provider on Road Runner's music and entertainment channel, Hang.
Road Runner is a joint venture owned by Time Warner (NYSE: TWX), Media One (NYSE: UMG), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT), Compaq Corp. (NYSE: CPQ), and Advance/Newhouse. Worlds.com and Road Runner signed the original agreement in April 1999. Financial terms of the contract extension were not disclosed.
"When we launched the 3D Hang channel last May we were extremely enthusiastic about the potential of a co-branded site with Road Runner," said Thom Kidrin, president of Worlds.com. Road Runner's Hang Channel is available through the Worlds.com entertainment portal, allowing Worlds.com members to experience eight music genres, view streaming video, listen to streaming audio, and access music news and live cybercasts in a 3D environment. Additionally, Road Runner's 550,000 subscribers can enter the Worlds.com entertainment portal - including BowieWorld, HansonWorld, NYYankeesWorld and more than three-dozen eStores - directly from the Hang Channel on the Road Runner site.
