WORLDS.COM NAMES CHRIS RYAN VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE

New York, NY, April 19, 2000 - Worlds.com (OTC/BB: WDDD), a leading three dimensional (3D) entertainment portal, today named Christopher J. Ryan to the post of Vice President of Finance, effective May 1, 2000.

Ryan, 39, will join Worlds.com from Reuters America where he has held a variety of financial management positions since 1991.

In his new position, Ryan will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and controls for Worlds.com as well as its capital management and interaction with the investment community. He will report to Steven G. Chrust, chairman.

"Chris rounds out our senior management team," said Chrust. "He brings a strong background in financial management and important skills in the systems, controls and planning areas. Over the past year, we have been building a strong leadership group at Worlds.com as we prepare for the growth stage of our business and Chris brings an essential missing piece to the team."

Prior to joining Reuters, Ryan was an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, Cole in New York.

Ryan, a CPA, is a graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey and holds an MBA from Fordham University. He resides with his family in New Milford, NJ. He will be located at the Company's headquarters in New York.
