Worlds.com Reports Revenue
Up 85% For Second Quarter

Revenue In First Half of FY 2000
More Than Total For FY 1999

Old Greenwich, CT, August 16, 2000 – Worlds.com (OTC/BB: WDDD), the leading three dimensional (3D) entertainment portal on the Internet, today reported second quarter revenues of $333,741, and a net loss of $2,526,762, or $.13 per share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2000.

This compared to revenue of $57,748, and a net loss of $825,643, or $.05 per share, for the comparable 1999 period.

For the first six months of 2000, the Company had revenue of $513,764, and a net loss of $4,535,257, or $.24 per share, compared to revenue of $92,925, and a net loss of $153,881, or $.08 per share, in the same period of 1999.

Sequentially, second quarter revenue increased 85 percent over the $180,023 reported for the first quarter of 2000. Revenue for the entire year of 1999 was $507,499.

“The revenue growth, quarter-to-quarter, is a clear indication,” said Steven G. Chrust, chairman, “that our new management team is making progress and the Internet is ready for 3D experiences.

“The fact that our revenues in the first six months of 2000 exceeded our total revenues for all of 1999 indicates our potential in the Internet marketplace despite limited resources,” he said. “We are making steady progress toward our goals and continuing to pursue additional content and hosting partners in the U.S. and internationally, leveraging our technical experience with content and distribution.”

The Company reported increased revenue, quarter to quarter, in all categories: e-commerce, advertising, subscriptions, licensing and hosting fees. The Company does not break out revenue by category.

During the quarter, the Company implemented its advertising sales agreement with 24/7 Media and as a result was involved in campaigns for 91 advertisers. The Company also signed an agreement with British Telecom (NYSE: BTY) to provide two 3D sites for that company’s Internet sites.
