WORLDS.COM SIGNS WITH ARTISAN ENTERTAINMENT
TO CREATE 3D WORLD FOR
BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2

Worlds.com to produce 3D World in Conjunction with Blair Witch WebFest;
Following the WebFest, Blair Witch World to Reside on BlairWitch.com

Old Greenwich, CT, October 5, 2000 – Worlds.com (OTC BB: WDDD.OB), the Internet's leading 3D entertainment portal, in conjunction with DistantCorners.com, the ultimate online destination for horror, Sci-Fi, fantasy and cult media, today announced that the two companies will co-produce a 3D Blair Witch World for Artisan Entertainment's Blair Witch WebFest, running live online from October 18 - 20. After the WebFest, Blair Witch World will reside on www.BlairWitch.com, the official site for Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2.

Along with the 3D world Worlds.com is creating, the Blair Witch WebFest will feature a record-breaking 64 hours of original programming, including live streaming events, interactive games and the exclusive opportunity to chat one-on-one with horror genre specialists, horror film directors, actors, comic book writers, animators, game developers and soundtrack artists. Additional technology partners for Blair Witch WebFest include Yahoo!® Movies (Nasdaq: YHOO), Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN), JumpCut, RealNetworks® (Nasdaq: RNWK), DoubleClick (Nasdaq: DCLK), StreamSearch and Hollywood Stock Exchange®.

"We are excited to be a part of the Blair Witch phenomenon," said Thom Kidrin, president and CEO of Worlds.com. "This partnership gives further evidence to the power of 3D and the impact that an integrated promotional campaign can have for entertainment properties. The popularity of the first Blair Witch film was born on the Internet and with the launch of the Blair Witch WebFest, the Web will continue to play an integral role in the success of the franchise."

Under the terms of the agreement with Artisan Entertainment, Worlds.com will create a compelling - and scary - 3D world where Blair Witch fans can come together to talk, gossip and revel in the October 27th release of Book of Shadows. Fans will be able to choose from a vast catalog of avatars - 3D virtual representations of the individual consumer - to serve as their "character" within the 3D world on www.BlairWitchWebFest.com. The Blair Witch World will also feature interactive events and promotions in support of the film.

"Worlds' 3D technology is the perfect compliment to the Blair Witch WebFest," said Amorette Jones, executive vice president of worldwide marketing for Artisan Pictures. "The Internet is a critical element to the successful marketing of a film, but you have to offer a unique experience to make an online promotion work. WebFest will provide such an experience, while Worlds' 3D technology helps us deliver it to consumers - not only building on the excitement of the film, but also enhancing audience participation."

For anyone interested in horror or science fiction, the Blair Witch WebFest is the must-attend event of the year. Beginning at 9am PST on Wednesday, October 18 through October 20, the WebFest will offer first-look footage from Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 and real-time video chats with director Joe Berlinger and cast members. Additional programming for the event includes Q&A chats and panel discussions, live musical performances from artists on the Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 soundtrack, auctions, file sharing, virtual art galleries, game play, prize giveaways, chats, 3-D environments and "making of" footage. WebFest attendees worldwide will also have live access to an overnight camping party with Perry Ferrell as DJ and a concert by Godhead, in the "Black Hills" of Maryland, attended by winners from other nationwide and international contests for Book of Shadows: Blair Witch2.

"Worlds.com represents the leading edge of online entertainment," noted Nicolas van Dyk, president of Artisan Digital Entertainment. "As evidenced by the sheer size and scope of the Blair Witch WebFest, it has always been our goal to leverage strategic partnerships for the delivery of a new online experience. With the 3D functionality Worlds brings to the table, horror fans from around the world will be able to connect with each other in an entirely new medium."
